MOSUL, IRAQ — A video released by Iraqi soldiers claims that a small puppy was fitted with explosives by ISIS extremists to be used in an attack.

The bomb was made from several bottles filled with explosives and shrapnel connected by electrical wires, according to website Iraqi News.

The Iraqi soldiers in the the video said ISIS militants planned to send the puppy across front lines, and then remotely detonate the bomb.

The soldiers said the device was made to kill or injure up to four people.

The authenticity of the video has yet to be verified, according to Iraqi News.

Iraqi government forces began a major offensive on Feb. 19 to clear western Mosul from Islamic State militants.
