The person who abandoned a 3-month-old puppy at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport says it was her only option. A note left with the dog, named Chewy, says, “My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight.” The letter also alleges Chewy’s owner’s ex-boyfriend kicked the puppy, leaving a knot on his head.
