Sealyham Terrier:
Sealyham originated from the Sealy ham estate by the seal river in southern Wales, during the 19th century.
They were first bred by captain John Edwards and were trained to hunt otters, badgers, foxes, and other game.
The white coat helped the hunters distinguish the dog from the pray.
It is thought he may have crossed breeds like Bull terrier, West Highland terrier, Dandie Dinmonts and corgis to create the Sealyham.
The Sealyham was recognized by the AKC in 1911, and the American Sealyham terrier club was founded in 1913.
Some well-known owners included Elizabeth Taylor, Alfred Hitchcock, Gary Cooper, Humphrey Bogart and even the Royal family.
